TRACT, a solo show, was curated by Himanshu Deasai at Gallery Nature Morte, New Delhi in 2010. Catalogued published to accompany an exhibition of works by Arunkumar H.G. The show is primarily composed of sculptures in a variety of forms and materials, with the addition of some photographic work and wall reliefs. The works explore the concept of Land and all that it entails and elaborates upon: metaphors for the human and social bodies; questions of ownership and usage; the migration of rural populations to urban centers; environmental consciousness and abuse; the production and distribution of food and the resulting consequences of health, markets, real estate and waste management.
