(b. 1992)

Purvi Sharma (b. 1992, Ahmedabad, Gujarat) has a practice that is nourished by day-to-day life. She documents visuals of her surroundings with objects, to transfer the idea of growth and uncertainty into a visual language. Working within the realm of mundane experiences and surroundings has become a significant entry point in her practice. Art as daily engagement in life and its nuances have become vital to her being. In the age of high-speed networking digitally or physically, overload of social confusions, equipped with digital and mainstream political media, the implications are more evident than ever.

Purvi has completed her M.V.A and B.V.A. from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda, where she specialized in Sculpture.
